A month of crucial supplies was donated to a privately funded charity called Manos de Amour.
Manos de Amor is a nonprofit organization that was born from the desire of a group of citizens of Bucerias to help the less fortunate, especially the children of Bahia de Banderas. It was formed on April 13, 2004. At that time there was nowhere for the children of the bay to go who were in need. The 15 - 30 children between the ages of 2 and 14 who are now housed in this Casa Hogar are children whose parents or family are either unwilling or unable to care for them. Many of them have been touched by abuse, poverty, abandonment, and addiction.
Manos de Amor's mission is to provide these children with food, clothing, and shelter, ensure that they attend school and church, and give them a safe and loving haven for as long as necessary. If the home situation improves, some may eventually return to their families. In the meantime, we invite you to be part of our story of love and hope for these children of Manos de Amor!
