We connected with the founder of @feelgoods.co, a creative professional. Reach out to Janelle and she will connect with you while on her spiritual journey.

AURA - Who are you?

JANELLE - My name is Janelle, and I am a creative professional who is insatiably curious and driven to share with inner knowings of the universe I continue to uncover.

AURA – What is real for you at this very moment.

JANELLE – That families are complicated, and the tale of that incredible relationship incredible effort if you want them to grow.

AURA – What is your life mantra (quote, scripture, philosophy).

JANELLE – "Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them." – Mark 11:23.

AURA – Describe a specific situation that shows – not tells – how a philosophy you lead your life by, has helped you deal with a specific situation at work or in business.

JANELLE – About a year ago I really started taking boundary-setting seriously in all aspects of my life. I believe that in order to create space to be the best we can be for others, we need healthy boundaries. This has been immensely helpful with work, in that it gives me something to go back to when I feel pressure or guilt for not doing more or saying yes to everything that comes my way. Instead of feeling like I'm not doing enough, I can say "my boundary was 40 hours of excellent work this week, and this's what I've given." It helps to feel accomplished and confident in my choices.

AURA – What is something about yourself that you're working on improving/changing and what is your WHY behind this.

JANELLE – Similar to most women, I'm working on improving my relationship with my body. I've noticed just how much body dysmorphia exists around me, because of the environment I currently live in. Vancouver is deeply rooted in an athletic and healthy lifestyle, which in many ways is fantastic, however, it can create an unhealthy obsession with body image. As a woman who is considered average tall, and not being stick thin, I classified myself as "big" or "curvy" for so long, when in reality I likely wouldn't hit either of those categories in a large test sample. Comparison is the thief of joy, and I'm done using words I've heard around me to define myself.

AURA – Who is one person that has impacted your life? What have they taught you?

JANELLE – Brene Brown offered me my freedom on a golden platter last year. Learning how to set healthy boundaries as I've mentioned earlier has immensely increased my quality of life.

AURA – Describe your biggest obstacle(s) in life and how you've mastered them.

JANELLE – The biggest obstacle in my life has been and always will be myself, and my own perception of a situation. What has helped immensely in overcoming mental obstacles I set for myself is developing a strong practice of self-reflection, self-development in conjunction with consistently creating time and space to be alone. By consistently investing in learning about myself I continue to uncover new tidbits, details and "aha's" that allow me to set the stage of my life for grace & success.

AURA – What have been your biggest epiphanies; the moment of life-defining change that shaped you into the person you are today.

ANELLE – The recognition that my human body is the vehicle to deliver the gifts of my soul body. That the connections we build to others and all that surrounds us is all that we'll ever take with us when it's time to pass on.

AURA – Where are you headed, what are you up to, what do you want to know.

JANELLE – I'm headed for my next great adventure. I'm ready to shake things up in my life and dive headfirst into what lights me up while honing my natural talents and skills in the creative arts and healing modalities. I want you to know that I'm just happy to be here.
